I could not put this book down....Ok,I'm biased,already a massive ska and reggae fan but even though there are other books out there for the reggae fan, this is told in a brilliantly fun,exciting,informed,researched,passionate way...the tales of ska dj clashes,and early London shebeens is magical...as intoxicating and optimistic as the music,yet filled with enough factual social history and suffering to bring the truly fascinating story of Jamaica music to life...
