STEB BACK IN TIME , A journey through Brightons mucky past
"Love, Reign o'er Me"

Film directed by Franc Roddam and The Who. Quadrophenia was filmed in 1978 and is the story of "Jimmy" played by Phil Daniels who pursues the lifestyle of a typical Mod in the 60's. The story takes us to a scooter rally to Brighton where the "Mods" end up fighting with the "Rockers". In the end Jimmy is arrested and ends up in court with the "Ace Face", played by Sting. After this he goes off the rails completely due to his state of mind partly due to his drug induced state and wants to relive the times in Brighton.
The film was made in 1978 and it happened just as an upsurge and interest in scootering and Modism was taking place across the country.
The film company brought in extras from all over the country, mainly the North of England where many Scooter Clubs turned up in force to get into the film and earn some cash. One drawback the film had at the time was to create a mass hatred between Bikers and Scooterist's. Fights broke out in cinema's and in the streets,
The music is from an original concept from the 60s. This has recently been re-mastered. Its 12" black and white gatefold sleeve with a story board of photographs depict what the film story tells.

Two lovers escape the police and fall through a doorway into a yard.
The alley is a shrine to Mods.
